The brand new release of IBM DB2 V9 (called Viper release) consists of leading edge and unique
pureXML
technology. PureXML allows database users to store and manage XML data in its native tree like structure
and supports industry standards like Xquery and SQL/XML to query over it.
– Worked on the extension of the existing pureXML Runtime Engine functionality for future releases
of DB2
– Designed, coded, tested and analyzed XML Navigation functionality using C, C++ and XML
– Worked closely with the XML team at SVL and IBM Almaden Research Center, also part of the
global DB2 UDB team and collaborated with IBM teams in Toronto and Portland.
– Performed on the W3C XQuery Test Suite Study and Analysis for DB2 v9.1 for execution and
analysis of the XML Query Test Suite (XQTS) which assesses the XML capabilities of DB2

system, implemented in .NET, provides for a single platform for reporting, searching, managing and
projecting bugs, besides supporting full automation of a bug’s lifecycle.
